Three avenues lead to healthy lifestyle

Many of you know the physical changes I have made over the past few years. What you may not know is that this change was in fact brought on by three avenues of modification. In September of 2007 a young man approached me. Sensing my despair and loss of direction he spoke to me for a few minutes. The gist of the conversation was that I had to take control of my own life.

He told me I needed to get better physically, mentally and spiritually and that I was the one who had to make the decision to do so; Not to let life's circumstances and the trials we all go through to get in the way of making myself whole and healthy.

Mentally I am a tougher person than I was just a few years ago. But that doesn't mean I've become a harsher, hardened person. If anything my mental toughness has led to a more compassionate, patient and empathetic demeanor. My type A personality has been tempered buy my psyche is stronger. Tough doesn't mean rough.

Spiritually, I recommitted myself to my basic beliefs and allocated a specific time to those pursuits. More on that in later postings.

Physically, I have made the most apparent changes. Fifty pounds lighter,  I have taken steps to improve my physical being. I am now a certified Personal Trainer and have helped over 50 people lose literally thousands of pounds in the past two years. That will be the gist of this blog where I hope to help many more people get healthy in a holistic manner.

So this first posting is to offer anyone interested, a sound proven way to lose weight, improve mobility, improve or completely cure certain medical conditions (like diabetes) and add years to your life.

Please send questions through this blog. If interested, I will do a complete assessment of your physical health and make recommendations on how to improve they way you feel from day one.

Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
